Flaxseeds also known as linseeds, are a great source of fibre and omega-3 fats, particularly alpha-linolenic acid (ALA). We use brown linseeds as they are thought to have a higher concentration of ALA and have a more robust flavour. Flaxseeds also contain a number of different polyphenols, especially lignans, which act as important antioxidants for your body.

When flaxseeds are whole, they might give your gut a tough time, just breezing through without sharing their nutritious secrets. But we grind our flaxseeds for our recipes, so you can soak up all the seedy goodness!

Pumpkin Seeds

Pumpkin seeds are one of the most commonly consumed types of seeds, and are good sources of phosphorus, monounsaturated fats and omega-6 fats.

They are widely researched to have a number of health benefits, largely due to their range of nutrients.

Pumpkin seeds are a good source of fat, and the natural oils that are released from them are extremely beneficial. At Seedy Snacks we roughly grind them in order to release the essential oils and give you the best of the ingredients. The different texture of the seeds within the crackers gives variety to the taste.

Sesame seeds are commonly consumed in Asia, and also in Middle Eastern countries as part of a paste called tahini.

They are a great source of Lignans, particularly one called Sesamin. Lignans are fibre associated compounds found in many plant families and common foods like seeds.

Sesame seeds are considered to be one of the best known dietary sources for Lignans.

Chia seeds are similar to flaxseeds in that they are a great source of fibre and omega 3 along with a number of other nutrients. Like flaxseeds, chia seeds contain a number of important antioxidant polyphenols.

A number of scientific studies have shown that eating chia seeds can increase alpha linolenic acid (ALA) in the blood. ALA is an important omega-3 fatty acid that can help reduce inflammation.

Our Flavours Sizzle

We have a trio of flavours, each of them crafted with love and sweat. They eat well solo however sometimes they crave to be paired with a certain dip, cheese, etc. Check out our recipe page for our favourite ways to eat these crackers.

Rosemary & Za'atar crackers close-up and cropped

Rosemary & Za’atar Seed Crackers

The Herby One

This is the flavour that started it all! The rosemary gives this cracker an earthy robust flavour and the za’atar (a popular Middle Eastern Spice mix) adds a lemony, zingy and salty vibe with the addition of the sumac and thyme. These are delicious eaten on their own but equally pairs well with hummus and/or cheddar.

Chilli & Lime Seed Crackers

The Spicy One

This flavour is perfect for our snackers who like it fiery and hot! The cayenne pepper that we use gives it the kick that it needs and the lime makes it zesty and balances out the heat perfectly.

We recommend you try these crackers with some cooling tzatziki to tame the heat or with some soft cheeses like goats and manchego.

The Everything Seed Crackers

The Moreish One

This snack is “everything”. Bursting with garlicky, oniony goodness and jam-packed with extra seeds, these crackers are an ode to the famous American “everything bagel”. The everything seasoning we use is made in house and is a classic recipe using only the best ingredients so you get the pop and flavour in every bite.

We recommend that you slather these crackers with some cream cheese or with peanut butter. We recently tried them with some Szechuan chilli crisp oil and we can’t even talk about how good that was. It was a flavour explosion that was pure fire!
